In Previous Times
Haad Salad* or Salad Beach was called Pirate Beach by the local residents. The sheltered bay and nearby mountains were perfect for pirates hiding goods and people.
* In the Thai language, Haad means Beach. In the local Thai dialect, Salad means Pirate, so Haad Salad means Pirate Beach. The local Thai dialect shortens Haad Salad to Haadlad so our hotel is called Haadlad Prestige Resort & Spa.

Today
The pirates are gone but Haadlad is ready for your visit with its beautiful scenery. Haadlad Prestige Resort & Spa is located on Salad Beach (Pirate Beach) with beautiful scenery, white sandy beach with small sand dunes, lined with tropical coconut trees, live coral reefs, tropical fish and crystal clear water. It is only 10 minutes from Thong Sala Center (Ko PhaNgan Pier).

BY TRAIN :: Visitors to Ko PhaNgan can take the air conditioned train from Bangkok to Surat Thani and catch a ferry to the Island. A snapshot of the train schedule is shown below. For further details, please click on www.railway.co.th for train schedules. In the upper right hand corner, you can click on "English version". Choose the "Southern Route" for train service from Bangkok to Surat Thani.

Visitors must take a bus or taxi from the train station to the ferry port at Donsak (about one hour from the train station) and take the Raja Ferry to Ko PhaNgan.Alternatively, a night boat with sleeping berths leaves from downtown Surat Thani at 23:00 hours and arrives in Ko PhaNgan the following morning.
